- this weekend for us was... -

BUSY, BUSY, BUSY!!

well, this weekend's been VERY busy [that sounds like all the 'other' weekends aren't [hahaha!] - with ahniér arriving in very short order, spike & i decided to take 1 last weekend before that day comes

`

friday evening after all the girls came home from school, we began by dropping karleigh off at her uncle russell & aunt vickie's house - we then went just a bit further up the road & dropped kiara off at uncle ralph & aunt shari's house [they're the ones that recently adopted loudnie] - last, but not least, we dropped brit & ruby off at dad & mom's house

spike & i then went out to dinner at houlahans restaurant [yum], then we took in a movie [traveling pants] & by that time, we were both beat, so we came home & crashed

`

we got up yesterday morning [not early...yeah!], left & went shopping for some furniture at some local stores - the first 2 pictures [below], are of a couch & loveseat we purchased - if you can't tell, there's lots of shades of golds & greens in there with a touch of burgundy throughout

if you look at the next 2 pictures [below], you'll see some cherry tables - we ended up getting a sofa table, coffee table & 2 end tables & they go perfectly with the couch/loveseat

here [below] is a picture of the dining room table we're planning on getting - it'll seat 10 very comfortably & still have some elbow room - we'll also be getting the hutch that you see in the background as well [although i've no dishes to go in there!] - we've looked at many, many tables/chairs here lately & by far this' our favorite!

after going shopping all day long, called it a night & headed home - we then got up this morning, we got ready & had to run a few more errands [going back to see the couches as they're storing them for us until we move into our new home] - we'd to make sure the carpet we'd picked out will work with the couch colors & also, took paint swatches over to see what looks good with the couch colors [as we'd already decided on paint, but when we got the couches, we then found out it'd not match at all...AT ALL, what we'd already decided on ]

we then wrapped everything up & headed to pick the girls up - we stopped by the house & was pleasantly surprised to find a crew finishing up our brick [yes, on a sunday & they're not behind schedule!!] - last, but certainly not least, is a picture of our home [below] that was taken today after the brick was done - they're due to begin drywalling tomorrow [monday...yeah!]

PS - sarah, you asked about the baby & i wanted to respond - it's getting closer with just 3 more weeks left - the doctor said last friday that ahniér's dropped, in position & mama's already having slight [very slight] contractions - i promise we'll post/yell/holler, as soon as she arrives!! - thanks for asking!

PSx2 - thanks to ralph & sharel, russell & vickie, dad & mom for helping us this weekend by watching our kids - it was a nice getaway & a much needed one on that...for all of us - thank you all
